Make Ken Like Christmas: #139 - from Governor Markell's office

Here's the deal...

I hate Christmas - really - I hate everything about Christmas - you can read about it here.

And every year people try to get me to embrace the Christmas spirit and become a nicer person at this time of year - and every year they fail.

But, this year, you can make me a Christmas celebrator - how? By shopping local.

All you have to do is send me a picture of the top of your receipt (I don't need to see what you purchased or how much you spent - just where you shopped) - send your photos to ken.grant7(at)gmail.com

- If I see 100 receipts from local businesses, I will stop saying, "Bah Humbug" this Holiday Season.

- If I see 200 receipts from local businesses, I will start wishing people a "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays" or whatever you would like.

- If I see 300 receipts from local businesses, I will put on a Santa hat and offer a dramatic reading of "A Visit from St. Nick" and post it on Youtube.

OK, December 21 is the deadline - and yes, local restaurants count.
